Pixel pitch determines the minimum comfortable viewing distance of an indoor fixed LED display. The working rule is roughly 1 metre per millimetre of pitch: a 1.5mm wall resolves cleanly from about 1.5 metres, while a 5.2mm wall needs at least 5 metres. BIM Plus-X covers six pitches on one cabinet, so a project can specify different pitches for different zones without changing hardware or mounting.

Across the range, it keeps the same 42mm die-cast cabinet depth, IP30 indoor protection, 3840Hz refresh and 8000:1 contrast baseline. The 1000×500, 750×500 and 250×500 panel family keeps layout planning, front-service maintenance and spare-part logic consistent even when a project mixes pitches or special shapes.

An indoor fixed LED display serves a fundamentally different brief from a rental panel: it is commissioned once and expected to run for years with minimal intervention. Below are the six installation types that most commonly specify the BIM Plus-X platform.

BIM Plus-X is named for its "X-generation" design philosophy: each feature is labelled "X"tremely to signal a step beyond the previous BIM generation. Below is what each feature means in practical installation terms.

90° rotation. Every panel can be mounted in either landscape or portrait orientation using the same cabinet and the same mounting bracket. This removes the need to stock separate portrait SKUs and gives integrators layout freedom on architectural columns, narrow corridor walls and split-height installations.

45° bevel-cut panels. Dedicated bevel panels allow the indoor LED video wall to wrap corners at 45° without visible seams. The geometry supports L-shapes, pillars, hexahedrons and other custom forms that cannot be achieved with 90° cuts alone. Three panel widths (1000mm, 750mm, 250mm) combine with the bevel option to fill irregular wall openings.

Wireless module connection. Modules connect to the cabinet without ribbon cables. In a long-term indoor fixed LED display installation, ribbon cables are the most common single point of failure over years of thermal cycling. Removing them eliminates that failure mode and simplifies module replacement during front service.

Dual backup. Both power supply and receiving card have hot-standby backup. If the primary unit fails, the backup takes over without a visible interruption. This matters in unattended 24/7 installations — retail, lobbies, transportation — where a dark panel can go unnoticed for hours.

Full front maintenance. Modules, power supply and receiving card are all accessible from the front of the panel. The indoor LED video wall can be mounted flush against a solid wall, with zero rear access space, saving usable floor area in compact commercial environments.

Mixed splicing. BIM Plus-X can be combined with BIM MIN (curved) and BIM Plus (standard) panels in the same wall. This lets a designer specify tighter pixel pitch in a close-view zone and a wider pitch in the upper scenic section, all on one mounting structure.

Choose pitch from the nearest routine viewing position, not the far end of the room. In practice, P1.5 or P1.9 suits boardrooms and control rooms where viewers sit within about 2 metres. P2.6 or P3.1 works for retail and branded interiors at around 3 to 4 metres. P3.9 or P5.2 is the more efficient range for atriums, scenic walls and other installations viewed from 6 metres or beyond.

They describe the same product from different angles. "Indoor fixed LED display" refers to the technology: a permanently installed screen made of LED modules inside die-cast cabinets. "Indoor LED video wall" describes the format: multiple panels tiled together to form a single seamless image surface. BIM Plus-X is both — individual display panels that lock together into a larger video wall.

No. BIM Plus-X carries an IP30 protection rating and is designed exclusively for indoor environments. If the project requires outdoor deployment, weather resistance or direct sun readability, the specification should move to an outdoor fixed series instead.

Each BIM Plus-X panel can be mounted in landscape or portrait orientation using the same cabinet, the same module layout and the same mounting hardware. There is no separate portrait SKU. This gives integrators the flexibility to build tall, narrow columns or wide panoramic walls from one inventory, and to change the orientation during installation if the site conditions require it.

Modules, power supply and receiving card are all removable from the front face of the panel. A technician can replace any component without accessing the rear of the wall. This means the screen can be mounted directly against a solid wall — no walkway, no access hatch — which is especially valuable in compact retail bays, narrow corridors and recessed architectural niches.

In a conventional LED cabinet, flat ribbon cables connect each module to the receiving card. Over years of thermal cycling and vibration, ribbon cables are the most common point of failure in an indoor LED video wall. BIM Plus-X eliminates the cable entirely: modules connect wirelessly to the cabinet, removing that failure mode and making module swap a tool-free, plug-and-play operation.

Yes. BIM Plus-X supports mixed splicing with BIM MIN (for curved sections) and BIM Plus (standard flat panels). This allows a single installation to combine different pixel pitches, curved elements and flat zones on one mounting structure. For projects that need a rental solution instead of a fixed install, Pilot Pro is the touring and staging equivalent.

Indoor LED video wall pricing is built around the project specification rather than a single list rate. The main variables are pixel pitch, total screen area, cabinet combination, steel structure, control system and installation environment. Finer pitch, tighter tolerances and more custom geometry usually increase budget, while simpler flat walls with longer viewing distance are more economical per square metre.
