In the renovation of Terminal 1’s check-in hall of Rome Fiumicino International Airport last year, LianTronics has worked together with Informasistemi S.p.A to build up the largest LED wall in Europe in the airport area. This 600sqm L-shaped LED video wall not only improves the travel experience of visitors, but also elevates the technological and artistical aesthetics of the environment to showcase the Italian way of life through digital visual delivery.
Since the outbreak of the COVID pandemic in 2020, the terminal check-in zone of the Airport has gone through a renovation project, which contains an LED wall system in place between check-in and security to replace the previous static advertising board.
In order to build up an effective digital advertising network and maximize the information delivery efficiency, this digital LED board has specially adopted extreme high brightness of 5500nits and ultra-high refresh rate of 3840Hz. Furthermore, LianTronics eye-catching commercial LED displays provide wide viewing angles, high stability for uninterrupted operation, and virtually crispy and clear presentation either from a distance or up close.
In addition, the 130-meter-long LED wall is assembled into an L shape to create a surrounding and enveloping atmosphere for transit passengers, whose sensations and perceptions about the environment can be entirely transformed by simply changing the graphic content on the wall.
It is worth mentioning that the Airport also applied an artwork titled “Italian History/Italian Stories” on the LED wall to tell the unique way of connecting, interpreting, and experiencing Italy's places, monuments and products.
